Shelly Jyoti’s research as an artist addresses contemporary art that stems from social concerns, narrating the history of colonial India, transnational economic interchanges, issues of immigration and celebrating the subaltern.
She is invited as a visiting artist lecturer, juror and panel participant on topics relevant to her research. She also presents her work in academic conference presentations and community arts forums and has been a keynote speaker in many national and international conferences.
